GadellNet has become part of an important movement. We have become a certified B Corporation.

After a rigorous vetting process to ensure we meet the standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability, we join other for-profit companies like Patagonia, Athleta, and Allbirds as a certified B Corp.

B Corp is made up of over 3,000 businesses in over 70 countries, across 150 industries inspiring tens of thousands of other companies to follow their lead by measuring their impact, changing their corporate structure, and building better businesses. Unlike traditional corporations, B Corps are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on all stakeholders: customers, workers, communities, and the environment.

Our journey to become a certified B Corporation started at an executive team strategy meeting – where we realized that we all had a shared impact in leveraging our success as a company to give back to our employees, communities and environment.  Becoming legally bound to a set of requirements forces us to hold ourselves to the highest of standards no matter the circumstances.

“It took us a few years in order to be ready for the B Corporation certification process.  We had to shore up our giving strategy, our employee strategy and ensure we were doing the right things on behalf of our communities.   We are excited to be a part of this community and have the 3rd party oversight to ensure we truly live our mission.” Nick Smarrelli, CEO, GadellNet.

GadellNet has always been a company that strives to do good. Our product offering allows us to partner with many non-profit organizations and support their missions – and we have a shared goal to ensure 10% of our clients received reduced rates as non-profits or educational institutions.

Through our Pay IT Forward program, the company and our employees have had the opportunity to donate technology to schools, clubs, and individuals. Through this program, GadellNet has been able to donate more than 650 devices throughout the Midwest.

Our employees are dedicated to volunteering. They are supported in their causes by the GadellNet leadership team for causes such as Sheets From Home, Pedal for a Cure, Habitat for Humanity, CASA for Kids, and others. Each employee is given PTO to pursue their volunteer passions.

So why did we want to become a certified B Corporation if we were already doing good in the world? We hope this distinction sets us apart in a way that makes others want to follow our lead. We are dedicated to doing our part in our small corner of the world.
