2024 has been a monumental year for technology, characterized by the widespread appeal and adoption of Generative AI solutions. At GadellNet, we’ve had the incredible privilege of learning alongside our clients while providing thought leadership to our communities.
Our journey began with a series of in-person Lunch & Learns focused on Microsoft Copilot. We continued with multiple events, presentations, internal adoption campaigns, and strategic planning sessions. To everyone who attended these events, thank you. Your time is incredibly valuable, and we’re grateful you chose to spend some of it with us. For those who couldn’t join us in 2024, the journey is far from over. Stay tuned to our socials—2025 is already shaping up to be an incredible year!
Looking Back: Our AI Journey in 2024
Our first live event on AI kicked off in May with a Lunch & Learn at our St. Louis office. This event sparked a series of sessions across St. Louis, Indianapolis, and Denver, lasting through September. Over seven events, we connected with approximately 100 business professionals, demonstrating the game-changing power of Microsoft Copilot.
Building on the success of these events, we expanded our efforts by speaking at various community gatherings. Our consultants shared insights on spotting AI opportunities by partnering with other organizations, especially those in the AEC space, helping to help educate those industries on revolutionary AI use cases. Following this, I was able to present on making successful AI adoption an executive priority at the ISA (Indiana Subcontractors Association) Exec to Exec conference.
Staying Ahead: Continuous Learning and Innovation
To keep pace with rapid advancements and continue offering valuable insights, we’ve invested heavily in ongoing learning. Several key team members attended Microsoft’s Ignite Conference to stay updated on the newest features coming in 2025.
Some key takeaways from Ignite:
- With Copilot+ PCs now available and Win10 going EOL, 2025 will be the largest PC refresh year ever. As a B Corporation, we are concerned about the amount of e-waste this will create and are brainstorming ways we can reduce this on top of the practices we already employ.
- Satya didn’t say “Azure” until 32 minutes into his keynote. Microsoft’s massive focus on LLM-based AI is inescapable. We are working hard to separate the signal from the noise on AI internally and will continue communicating our thoughts and experiences to cut through.

Additionally, we’ve increased our 2025 R&D budget to enhance our thought leadership initiatives. This includes exploring new tools and capabilities aimed at maximizing ROI for our clients. On top of this we have established an internal AI Task Force to test use cases, share wins, and encourage creative methods of utilizing AI. This task force has been instrumental in creating our own internal AI usage policy.
Moving Forward: Excitement for 2025
We’re thrilled about the advancements 2025 will bring and are committed to supporting our clients every step of the way. The future is now!
